Refund and Returns Policy

At Desiyaaro we want every piece you receive to feel perfect. When it does not, our refund and exchange process is straightforward, fair, and handled personally by our Irving, TX customer-care desk — not an automated ticket queue.

Overview

We accept returns on most items within 30 calendar days of delivery. To qualify, the piece must come back to us in resalable condition — unworn, unwashed, with the original tags and packaging intact. Items falling outside this window, or showing signs of use, are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility Checklist

Before mailing anything back, please confirm the piece meets every one of the following:

  • Returned within 30 calendar days from the delivery date shown in your tracking confirmation.
  • In its original, resalable state: no alterations, no fragrance of perfume / detergent / smoke, no visible wear, no pet hair.
  • All tags, inner liners, dust bags, and hangtags still attached as shipped.
  • The product is not flagged as “Final Sale”, “Clearance”, or “Custom-made” on its listing page.

Items We Cannot Accept Back

The following categories are final-sale at Desiyaaro for hygiene, safety, or customisation reasons:

  • Tailored, custom-stitched, or made-to-measure garments (blouses stitched to size, altered lehengas, etc.).
  • Pierced jewellery, nose pins, and any body ornaments that touch skin.
  • Intimates, shapewear, hosiery, and socks once the hygiene seal is broken.
  • Opened beauty, fragrance, henna, and personal-care items.
  • Digital gift cards and downloadable products.
  • Deeply discounted or clearance items clearly marked “Final Sale” on the product page.

How To Start Your Return

  1. Email wecare@desiyaaro.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and a short reason. A photo helps if the piece has a fit or quality issue.
  2. Within one business day you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) reference and the return address for our Irving, TX fulfilment centre.
  3. Re-pack the item in its original wrapping, place the RMA note inside, and write the RMA reference on the outside of the parcel.
  4. Drop the parcel with a tracked, insured courier of your choice. Please keep the tracking number until your refund has cleared.

Refund Processing

Once your parcel reaches Irving and passes inspection, we email you the same day to confirm the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days. Depending on your bank, posting to your statement may take an additional 3–5 days.

  • Original outbound shipping is non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defect, or damage).
  • Return shipping is paid by the customer for change-of-mind returns; we cover it when the error is on our side.
  • Returns arriving in partially-used condition may be subject to a restocking deduction of up to 15%.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We aim for every order to arrive studio-perfect, but if something is wrong when you unbox it, please contact wecare@desiyaaro.com within 72 hours of delivery. Attach clear photos of the issue plus the packaging, and we will cover the return shipping and dispatch a replacement at no extra charge — or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Exchanges

Because inventory on ethnic and seasonal pieces can turn over quickly, the fastest way to exchange is to return the original for a refund and place a fresh order for the replacement size or colour. If you would like us to attempt a direct swap, simply mention it in your RMA email and we will check stock before you ship anything back.

Late or Missing Refunds

If a week has passed since our approval email and the amount is still not visible on your statement, please: (1) check pending / posted transactions with your card issuer, and (2) write to wecare@desiyaaro.com with the last four digits of the card used — we will trace the transfer from our side within one business day.

Order Cancellations

You may cancel an unshipped order free of charge at any time by emailing us. Because our team dispatches same-day, please reach out as soon as possible. Once a carrier has scanned the parcel, the standard post-delivery return process applies.
